Do to severe anemia I’ve been told to take one Ferrous Sulfate (Iron) twice daily with vitamin c for better absorption. I normally take 500 to 1000 mg. of vitamin c most mornings but since I take the iron twice a day do I need to take the vitamin c twice a day as well.

I have read somewhere that ingredients of vitamin C supplements are not organic and therefore not conducive for absorption by the human body;
I also heard a doctor say that such intake greatly stresses the liver;
OTOH, I encountered a doctor that even encourages overdoze of Vitamin C on certain occassions, it being helpful, such as it can act as an anti-histamine.
